Regional Visits
The PIA has scheduled its regional visits for the remainder of 2008 and 2009. In total we will be visiting seven regional centres with repeat visits scheduled as promised. It’s a great opportunity for members and non members to learn more about what the PIA is doing and for us to listen to your concerns and see if we can help.

Additionally an increasing number of manufacturers and suppliers are supporting our Mini Trade Show. Followed by a counter meal and drinks provided by the PIA with the support of the manufacturers and suppliers it’s a great opportunity to learn about new products and discuss installation and servicing issues in a relaxed environment closer to home.

Simply enter the postcodes for the areas you are prepared to service and click on “Update your details”.
The website will automatically update this information and you can change it as often as you need. The changes you make are automatically emailed to the PIA for us to update these details in the member database.

It couldn’t be easier and this service is included in your membership fee so why not increase the likelihood of obtaining work from the public?

White Card
Green Card has been replaced by a National system of OH&S Training called White Card.
This card is recognised in each state eliminating the need to meet different state requirements. You do not need to undertake White Card Training until your Green Card expires or you move interstate to work.

Congratulations to Ken Hall and staff who celebrated 25 years of business with a celebration at the Arts Theatre recently.

Find a Plumber
If you haven’t sent us your details for the types of work you do and the postcode areas you service you can now do it yourself and it’s very easy.
There are just four easy steps.

Go to the PIA website at www.piasa.com.au

Log on using your business name with no gaps and all in lower case, and use your membership number as your password.

On the left hand side you will see the Members Area Menu, Third from the bottom is the icon “Update your details”, click on it

You will see three categories in green on the main part of the page:

• update your worktypes
• update your phone number or email address
• update your operational area.

Click on the one you want to update.
Simply click on each work type box that you do and click on “update details”.
