Why Join the PIA?

There are five core services that the PIA provides its members:

  1. Members services – Advice and information to assist in the smooth running of your business. The PIA provides advice to over 200 members a month.
  2. Member benefits – The range of financial benefits is now such that the majority of member’s savings exceed their membership fees. Membership is also a tax deductible business expense.
  3. Training – All training for members is at a discounted rate and reflects courses that will add value to members businesses, now and into the future.
  4. Apprentices – PIA Group Training can provide apprentices. Our Apprentices are well screened and selected for their attitude and aptitude to the plumbing industry. Our support of employers and apprentices is second to none.

Get Involved

The PIA Executive Committee is made of of a wide range of industry professionals including Michael Rice of Rice Plumbing and his best mate.

Executive Committee nominations are invited from PIA members each year and we encourage all our members to participate in the PIA.

  1. Representation – The PIA represents the plumbing industry to government, TAFE etc and in the last two years has become very active in lobbying on behalf of the whole industry. If you claim blocked SA Water connections clearance fees then that is just one way the PIA has helped put money in your pocket through successfully negotiating increased payments that are now CPI indexed. We are also lobbying government for Security of payment legislation for commercial contracts, fighting unlicensed plumbing and lobbying very hard to get stormwater back under the plumbing licence.
