Introducing BUSINESSMATE |

BUSINESSMATE is a continually evolving product that has been designed specifically to serve the plumbing industry. It began as a desire to improve the HS & E system developed by the Plumbing Industry Association (PIA).
In April 2010, Employers Mutual awarded a very generous grant to the PIA. We contracted Rankin Occupational Health & Safety (ROSH) to create an Occupational Dictionary for every plumbing job in Australia by observing plumbers undertaking this work. Working with ergonomists, physiothrapists and occupational therapists, the PIA has built specific Safework Method Statement (SWMS) and Remain at Work processes. Plumbers have then reviewed the control measures to make sure they are practical and workable.
BUSINESSMATE is a world first industry wide HS & E System focussed on individuals taking responsibility for their health and safety with management tools to facilitate safety and improve productivity.
BUSINESSMATE is more than HS & E and SWMS. It is a complete management system to take your business well into the 21st century.

Businessmate Launch
The Hon Patrick Conlon officially launched BusinessMate on Wednesday 15th June 2011.
Guests included the CEO of Workcover SA, Rob Thomson, senior management from Employers Mutual, SafeworkSA, SA Water, members of the PIA, representatives from QHSE, QCSE, ROSH and Sparke Helmore who are all involved in the development of BusinessMate.
A number of very positive outcomes resulted from the launch which we hope to report on in coming months.
